Open Order Editing
In the Revize app, click Order Editing in the sidebar.

Choose processing method
On the Editing policy tab, under Fulfillment while editing, select Hold orders or Skip hold and click Save.
When your edit deadline is Until fulfillment, Revize doesn’t hold orders, and the hold and release tag options aren’t available. Editing simply ends when the order is fulfilled.

How it worksOrders flow normally through your systems without being put on hold. Revize can add a release tag when the editing window closes to signal your 3PL that the order is ready for fulfillment.Pick this when
- Your 3PL can wait for a release tag before picking orders
- You want to use tag-based workflows instead of hold/release
revize:order_released (or your own custom release tag) when editing closes. Configure your 3PL to only pick orders that have this tag.Without a release tag, your 3PL might pick orders before customers finish editing, which can cause fulfillment issues.

When you select Skip hold, enable the release tag feature:- What it does: Adds the
revize:order_releasedtag (or your custom release tag) when the editing window closes - Purpose: Signals to your 3PL that the order is ready for fulfillment
- Benefit: Prevents picking orders that are still being edited

Turn on Add release tag
In Order Editing → Editing policy → Fulfillment while editing, turn on Add release tag.

Enter your tag
Type your tag in Custom release tag (optional), for example
ready_to_ship, and click Save. Orders now get your tag instead of revize:order_released. Leave the field empty to keep the default.A custom release tag can’t start with
revize:, which is reserved for Revize’s own tags, and can be up to 255 characters. Commas are removed because Shopify uses them to separate tags.Related setup
